Chechelnyk is a town in the Vinnytsia Oblast, Ukraine (before Russian Revolution in the Podolia Gubernia of Russian Empire), near Odessa Oblast.

The Brazilian writer Clarice Lispector was born in the town on December 10, 1920. Her family had to emmigrate due to religious persecution of Jews during the Russian Civil War.
