Christian Älvestam

Christian Älvestam (Born April 14, 1976 in Sweden) is a vocalist, lyricist, guitarist, bassist and drummer for several bands from Sweden. He is, however, best known as the former vocalist for the Swedish melodic death metal band Scar Symmetry. As well as being a multi faceted member for several bands, he has also made appearances on the band Zonaria's debut album Infamy and the Breed as well as taking part in the Nuclear Blast 20-year anniversary CD Nuclear Blast All-Stars: Out of the Dark alongside Soilwork members Peter Wichers and Dirk Verbeuren.

On September 11, 2008, Scar Symmetry announced in a MySpace Bulletin that Christian Älvestam and the rest of Scar Symmetry would be parting ways as a result of touring and creative differences.

In late 2007, Christian and Miseration/Essence Of Sorrow’s Jani Stefanovic formed a "conceptual entity," a new band called Solution .45. The band took off in Fall 2008 when they recorded an 8-track demo with Tomas "Plec" Johansson (Unmoored, Scar Symmetry) handling the production. Solution .45 will enter the studio in Spring of 2009 to make their debut album.
