Cuthbert James Burnup, born November 21, 1875 and died April 5, 1960, was a cricketer who played for Kent and Cambridge University. He was also an Association football player who played once for England.

A cautious opening batsman and occasional bowler, Burnup was in the Cambridge side for three years from 1896 and then played on for Kent until 1907, making 1,000 runs in a season eight times. His best season was 1902 when he scored 2,048 runs. He was captain of Kent in 1903 and was also named a Wisden Cricketer of the Year in that year.

As a footballer, Burnup played for Cambridge University and for Corinthians, and was capped for England against Scotland in 1896.
