GEOS is one of the Big Four eikaiwas (or private English teaching companies) in Japan.

GEOS, which stands for Global Education Opportunities and Services, is a company based in Japan which specialises in teaching foreign languages.

The company was started in 1973 by Mr. Tsuneo Kusunoki. The first school was based in Tokushima City, Tokushima Prefecture, Japan. The company has head offices in Sapporo, Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Okayama and Fukuoka. GEOS also has hiring offices in London, Vancouver and Toronto.

After over 30 years GEOS now has over 500 schools in Japan, and nearly 50 schools in other countries around the world. The GEOS group also runs children only schools called Codomo schools throughout Japan.

The main language GEOS teaches in Japan and it's overseas schools is English. Other languages taught at GEOS include, French, Spanish, Italian, German, Chinese and Korean. GEOS also has teaches Japanese in Japan to foreigners staying in Japan.

Outside of teaching members of the public GEOS also runs it's own publshing company (Textbook Research and Development), a company lessons company (G.C.I.), a homestay agency (G.I.E.A.), a travel agency (G.S.T.) and an online learning company (e-GEOS).
