San Lorenzo in Banale is a comune (municipality) in the province of Trento in the Italian region Trentino-Alto Adige/Südtirol, located about 15 km west of Trento. As of 31 December 2004, it had a population of 1,129 and an area of 62.1 km².[2] The comune is made up of seven merged hamlets or villages. They are Berghi, Dollaso, Glolo, Senaso, Prato, Busa and Pergnano.

San Lorenzo in Banale borders the following municipalities: Ragoli, Molveno, Andalo, Vezzano, Stenico, Dorsino, Calavino, Lomaso and Bleggio Inferiore.
