Canal Street (Arendal Jazz og Bluesfestival) is an yearly jazz and blues festival in Arendal, first time presentd in 1996.

The festival is known for its use of unusual venues where interesting surroindings go hand in hand with musical experienses. Jazz at the Lighthouse at lille Torungen fyr, bathingblues & swimmingjazz i Merdø uthavn, bohemian jazz at Kolbjørnsvik and ”Føling på fyllinga” at the local waste dump Heftingsdalen is some of the examples.

Canal Street is one of few norwegian festivals that shows both jazz and blues as main genres. This gives good opportunities of showing two genres that historically is close connected, and all the mix you get by mixing the two genres and also rock and world music.
