I'd like to know where "Muskets and elephants" came from exactly...

Thai forces in Europe during WWI?

Well, it's not true that Thailand was, if it did send troops to Europe, the only Asian country to have military forces there--Japan sent two squadrons of destroyers to support Allied convoys in the Mediterranean.
