South Charlotte
- The Arboretum: along Pineville-Matthews Road
- Ayrsley: SW Charlotte Ayrsley Town Blvd and South Tryon. Masterplanned community.
- Barclay Downs: west of Colony Rd. near the SouthPark Mall.
- Beverly Woods: Area of Southpark enclosed by Sharon Road, Park Road, and Sulkirk Road.
- Ballantyne: Upscale Area, along the NC/SC border
- Carmel Village: Area near the intersection of Pineville-Matthews Rd and Carmel Rd.
- Cotswold: intersection of Randolph and Sharon Amity roads
- Dilworth: southeast of Uptown
- South End: directly south of Uptown
- Myers Park: east of Dilworth
- Nations Ford: southwestern Charlotte, near Steele Creek
- Parkdale: northeast of Park Rd./Tyvola Rd. intersection, south of Briar Creek
- Quail Hollow: South of Dilworth, in between SouthPark and Pineville.
- Sedgefield: south of DilworthTemplate:GR
- SouthPark: intersection of Sharon Road and Fairview Road (Includes Morrocroft and Foxcroft)
- Starmount: South Boulevard area
- Steele Creek: southwestern Mecklenburg, including Charlotte
- Landsdowne: Along Providence Rd between the Intersection of Fairview Rd and Sardis Rd and the intersection of Rea Rd and Alexander Rd.
West Charlotte
- Biddleville: In west Charlotte along Beatties Ford Road
- Enderly Park: Located in west Charlotte along Tuckaseegee Road between I-85 and Berryhill Road
- Paw Creek: "Tank town", located in western Mecklenburg County bordering Gaston County
- Thomasboro/Hoskins: In west Charlotte, between Freedom Drive and N Hoskins Rd north of I-85
- West Charlotte: Along Wilkinson Blvd
- Berry Hill: Extreme West bordering Gaston Co. Near Airport.
- Clanton Park: Intersection of Clanton Rd and West Blvd.
- Shopton: Corridor of Shopton Rd near 485 and Gaston Counnty south of Charlotte Int. Airport.
- Yorkshire: located in SW Charlotte, near Carowinds and SC border, between Choate Cir & S. Tryon.
North Charlotte
- Derita: north of I-85 along West Sugar Creek Road
- Highland Creek: West of Concord Mills and I-85, east of Eastfield Rd and north of Mallard Creek
- NoDa: Arts District, around North Davidson Street
- North Charlotte: northeast of Uptown
- University City: extreme northeast around UNC Charlotte
- Mountain Island Village: Extreme northwest along Brookshire Rd, I-485, and Mt. Holly-Huntersville Rd near Mountain Island Lake.
- Northlake: Northlake mall area.
- Oakdale: Along Oakdale Rd.
- Eastfield/Prosperity: Area between Eastfield Road, Brown Road and Prosperity Church Rd
- Hidden Valley: along Sugar Creek Rd south of I-85.
East Charlotte
- Chantilly: Neighborhood along Independence Boulevard between Plaza-Midwood and Elizabeth
- Eastland: large portion of eastern Charlotte
- Elizabeth: along Elizabeth Avenue
- Plaza-Midwood: east of Uptown and along The Plaza
- Sherwood Forest: between N. Sharon Amity Rd. and Sardis Rd.
- Hickory Grove: Along E. W.T Harris Blvd and Hickory Grove Rd.
- Idlewild: Along E W.T Harris Blvd and Idlewild. Borders Eastland
- Reedy Creek: Far north on the Plaza Rd near Cabarrus Co.
- Shamrock: Along Shamrock Rd.
Center City
- Uptown/Downtown: central business district surrounded by Interstate 277, comprising four wards.
