Walter Mendenhall (born January 22, 1986 in Chicago, Illinois) is an American football running back. He played college football at Illinois before transferring to Illinois State University. Not selected in the 2009 NFL Draft, Mendenhall signed with the Philadelphia Eagles as a free agent. He was released by the Eagles on June 11, 2009.

He is the brother of Pittsburgh Steelers running back Rashard Mendenhall.
