Pragyan Prayish Ojha (born 5 September 1986 in Khurda, Orissa) is an Indian cricketer. Debuting in first class cricket in 2004/05, Ojha is a left-arm spinner who has represented India at under-19 level. He finished the 2006-07 Ranji Trophy season with 29 wickets at 19.89, in just 6 games. He is an ace left-arm off spinner who has represented India at various district and state levels. This young tweaker has high-octane first class statistics that stand to prove his worth as an agile off spinner. Pragyan Ojha started his cricketing career from Sahid Sporting club in Bhubaneshwar. He played in the U-15 interstate cricket tournament organized by the Orissa Cricket Association. After studying in DAV Public school, Chandrasekharpur till 9th he went to Hyderabad in the year 2000 for his studies and from then on he is a regular player of the Hyderabad Ranji team. Ojha has also represented India U-19 and has played against Zimbabwe and Kenya. In the Kenya tour alone, he claimed 22 wickets in the 3-days match. His determined performances at the domestic circuit lead the way to his entry into the Deccan Chargers squad at the IPL. He emerged from the inaugural T20 tournament with 11 wickets under his sleeve. Ojha was one of those stand-outs from his otherwise lackluster team at the IPL owing to his splendid performance. He was picked up by the national selectors who handed him his blue Jersey for India's upcoming Triangular series tour of Bangladesh and the subsequent 2008 Asia Cup to be played in Pakistan. He played his debut game against Bangladesh in the second of those two tournaments and he finished with impressive figures of 2 for 43.

Pragyan Ojha plays for the Hyderabad, Deccan Chargers in the Indian Premier League. His highly successful campaign in the first season ensured selection in the 15-man Indian squad for the Bangladesh tour and Asia cup.

He was all the more successful in the second season, which ensured his selection in the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 in England.

His debut match was against Bangladesh on 6th June 2009, in which he picked up four wickets at the expense of twenty-one runs in four overs, a terrific spell in T20 format. He was awarded Man of the Match for his outstanding and match-winning performance.
