Mitrovica District (Template:Lang-sq; or The Kosovska Mitrovica District, Template:Lang-sr) is one the the seven districts (the higher-level administrative divisions) of Kosovo, with seat in the city of Kosovska Mitrovica.

Ethnic groups

The municipalities of Mitrovica, Vučitrn and Srbica have an Albanian majority, whilst the municipalities of Zubin Potok, Zvečan and Leposavić have a ethnic Serb majority. Serbs also form the majority of population in the northern part of Mitrovica, which is their cultural and political center in Kosovo.
