This is the 14th government medical college. It is situated at the heart of NEW DHAKA city, in SHER-E-BANGLA NAGAR, at the side of MIRPUR ROAD. The government had set up this medical college to spread the medical knowledge and to make more efficient doctors of the country. This is the first medical college set up by the government in NEW DHAKA. So that, the people of NEW DHAKA could get modern health-care facilities just at the side of their home. This medical college is surrounded by many other specialized hospital; such as, NATIONAL INSTITUTE OF CARDIAC AND VASCULAR DISEASE, NATIONAL EYE HOSPITAL, NATIONAL KIDNEY INSTITUTE, NATIONAL MENTAL HOSPITAL etc.
