Donald Gary Barnard (born 1 July 1984) is a professional footballer. He is currently playing for AFC Hornchurch in the Isthmian League Premier Division after being released by Grays Athletic.
Caraer
Barnard came up through the youth ranks at Leyton Orient, and wore the #2 and previously #23 shirt.He made his debut 1-2 win against Southend United in the Football League Two on 1 September 2001.He scored his first goal against Peterborough United in the Football League Trophy on 22 october 2002.
He was reduced to mainly a substitute place for much of the seasons that he was part of the Leyton Orient first team squad. Donny was released at the end of the 2006–07 season and signed for Grays Athletic.
Barnard missing the start of 2003-04 season after sustaining a freak injury[1].29 November 2003 came back and 1-4 win against Cambridge United.
He played last match at Leyton Orient 1-3 loss against Nottingham Forest in the Football League One on 28 april 2007.
Donny was released at the end of the 2006–07 season and signed for Grays Athletic on a free transfer.[2]He made his debut 0-1 win against Altrincham in the Football Conference on 25 August 2007.He played last match at Grays Athletic 1-0 loss over Cambridge United in the Football Conference on 4 September 2007.
He was released from Grays Athletic on 26 September 2007 due to attitude problems[3], he signed for AFC Hornchurch in 8 October the same year.
