Ben Pepper
Template:NBL Player Infobox Ben Pepper (born 15 July 1975 in Geraldton, Western Australia) is an Australian basketball player, who used to play for the Townsville Crocodiles.
Career
Ben Pepper's NBL career began in 1996/97 with the Newcastle Falcons. After an impressive debut season Ben entered into the NBA draft and was selected by the Boston Celtics with the 56th overall pick in the draft however he was never signed by the franchise. Ben came back to the NBL and played for North Melbourne in the 1998 season. Once they folded, Ben was signed by the Victorian Titans where he became one of the most dominant centers in the competition. Ben signed with the Wollongong Hawks in 2001 and spent two seasons there before switching back to Victoria in 03/04. When Victoria folded after the 2004 season, he was snapped up by the New Zealand Breakers for the start of the 2004-2005 NBL seasons. After two seasons in New Zealand, Ben was signed by the Townsville Crocs. Despite being a dominant player in the NBL for numerous years Ben Pepper rarely played for the Australian national side, the Boomers.
In his first year with Townsville Crocodiles had the 5th best field goal % in the league, shooting at 58.2%.
