Survive This is a Canadian reality TV show that airs on YTV in Canada. The show also aired in the United States on Cartoon Network on June 17, 2009. On this show, Les Stroud takes eight teenagers into the wild to teach them how to survive. The show premiered on April 7, 2009 in Canada and on June 17, 2009 in the United States.

Overview

Eight teenagers were taught for a week on how to survive, and then they were taken to the wild. There, Les Stroud gives them various challenges all based on wilderness survival. Rather than being eliminated at the end of every episode every teenager is asked if they would like to leave the game

Adam: The Sportsman

Adam is definitely one of the stronger and more competitive of the group. He will do anything to survive, and says that he won't go home unless he loses both of his legs.

Becca: The Princess

From the beginning you can tell Becca won't last very long. She wants to stay long enough to prove herself.

Becky: The Environmentalist

Seems fairly quiet.

Catarina: The Tough Girl

Catarina is always whiny because she's hungry all the time. There's not enough food!

Catarina has endured through a lot in her life. She actually doesn't come off as tough because she whines a lot and was in tears more than once. That label may be in reference to her bad attitude. While on the show she hurts her ankle and complains of heat stroke and hypothermia.

Holden: The City Boy

Holden is really funny and he makes everyone laugh. So far he seemed to endure the challenges, but he quit the show after the "Deep Woods" challenge. He is the first boy to leave.

Jennifer: The Hunter

Jen is a fierce competitor and she's currently the only remaining girl if you're Canadian. She is giving hints that she likes Adam; for instance she said "I don't think I'd be here if it weren't for Adam".

Kareem: The Motivator

Kareem seems to be more of a social outcast because he makes fun of some of the other people who are annoying. Everyone likes him and wants him to be part of the group, if only he would be himself. However, he is the motivator and kept the group focused and entertained with his vast survival skills. He can go a little overboard and the other teens get mad at him.

Zac: The Camp Counselor

Zac is one of the strongest contestants even though he is the youngest in the group. Zac loves camping, and that's been helping him come this far. He believes that the toughest challenge he will face is leaving the forest. His confidence is currently a good aspect to himself and his teammates. Zac is good at teaching people what to do in the wilderness. Many say that Zac will survive the longest out of everybody in the group. Zac has the most expierence out of the group.

Eight teens are sent out into the wilderness from Survival School to face their first challenge: to survive a bus crash in an isolated forest. They must now work together and brave their first night in the wild.

As punishment for recklessly placing their food in an unsafe spot, Les Stroud takes away some of the teens' food rations. Girls and boys compete to see who can create the better shelter.

The two groups split up into pairs to find more food to add to their dwindling food supply. Meanwhile, an incoming storm threatens to ruin the campfire.

The teens experience an emergency evacuation as the teens go on a night hike armed with nothing but a GPS and a set of geographical coordinates. Becky leaves the show.

A rafting challenge takes a turn for the worse as the teens are stranded on a riverbank, with no shelter or food, with several suffering of hypothermia.
