Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine (also known as WH40k: Space Marine) is an upcoming third-person action-RPG video game developed by Relic Entertainment and published by THQ. It is scheduled to be released for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3.

Details released so far are that the player will take control of a squad of 4 marines from the Ultramarines chapter. The marines featured thus far in videos shown at the E3 seem to conform to an Assault Marine (carrying a Thunder Hammer and utilising an Assault Pack); a Tactical Marine (carrying a boltgun); a Sergeant (carrying a Power Sword and Bolt Pistol) and a Devastator Marine (carrying a Heavy Bolter). Apparently upgrades are earned for each marine as the game progresses, allowing the player to customise the squad as the game goes on. It appears that although the player controls the squad, only one marine is 'piloted' per mission; making the game a single-player rather than a squad-tactics game.

The plot outlined so far concerns an Ork invasion of an Imperial Forge World; a world-sized factory responsible for producing weapons and armour for the Imperium of Mankind.

Also in an E3 trailer Tyranids are hinted at by a strange figure on the left side of the battlefield before the atomic bomb goes off. The figure is believed to be a Tyranid Carnifex or Hive Tyrant but it is unclear. Early demo trailers seem to indicate also the presence of Chaos Space Marines (seemingly of the Word Bearers Legion).
