Talk:Muhammad Ali/to do
Appearance
- Fix issues from GA review:
- It's poorly sourced for it's length, only 16 citations in a article that is about 50 KB in length.
- There are whole sections that are completely unsourced
- Poor prose throughout, many grammar errors and one sentence paragraphs.
Merge or remove the Ranking in heavyweight history subsection, unless it could be expanded more than a sentence(was expanded)The Ali in the media section should be converted into prose- The last sentence of in retirement should be moved to the personal life section
- Needs a bit of a trimming his biography section, needs more info about his legacy (which is poorly sourced anyways).
Lead needs to be expanded per WP:LEAD- Needs a strong PoV check, parts of the article is written from a fan perspective, sentences like "Cassius Clay indeed "Shook up the world!" as he promised." should be removed.
Add "a.k.a. Cassius Clay" to the list of documentaries (1970)- Some time should be spent discussing the dirty tactics Ali LOVED to use, such as pushing down on the back of the head and neck to tire his opponent out quicker and his constant grabbing and holding when any serious opponent got on the inside to avoid Ali's jab and provide room to strike him back.
- Explain why Ali was stripped of his title in 1964, this is currently mentioned in the list at the end without any reason being given
- Add the final decision of the Supreme Court on Ali's refusing to serve in the military. Several court decisions are mentioned but the final conclusion is missing completely!
- Properly format all references.
- Update Antonio Inoki from being a "kickboxer" to a "catch wrestler" - he was trained by Karl Gotch in shoot style wrestling.
- Mention the fact that Ali called Frazier an "Uncle Tom" and "a dumb gorilla," both of which were widely reported in the press at the time.
NOTATION: People who are experts and/or extremely knowledgeable as to Clay, Ali and aspects of his career and socio-political impact have been consistently run-off and turned away by this page's self-appointed security guard, Steve Macgruder. The pages could benefit from a fresh and receptive view, not a mini-tyrant's private fiefdom.
