I have added two items to support the notability of Beebase - the fact that Beebase developed and hosts the official bee gene set, and the fact that Beebase developed a novel online system for community annotation of genomes. The latter research was published in a peer reviewed scientific paper (see link on page), and the data resulting from this community annotation project was published in twenty-seven peer reviewed scientific articles (thirteen in the journal 'Genome Research' and fourteen in 'Insect Molecular Biology'). Also, Beebase was mentioned in this article Honey_Bee_Genome_Sequencing_Consortium (this was why I started the Beebase article).
