Dead

Someone else edited it a second before I did. He's dead.

Can anyone cite a valid source that confirms this?¤~Persian Poet Gal (talk) 03:07, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Nobody has listed a valid source for this. This is just like the Warrick situation on the CSI article - yeah, he looks dead, but we don't know and it hasn't been confirmed. Someone else posted a link to a video that supposedly shows David Caruso "confirming" that the death was staged, but the video simply shows a clip from the finale. I have removed this; if the real video can be provided, I will have no objection to it being in the article since it would be proof of the character Horatio Caine's status, one way or another, but until there is solid evidence for either scenario, the character's status should remain officially "unknown." 72.184.120.177 (talk) 21:41, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Timeline

I'd love to see an orgainzed timeline of Horatio's life on this page. He was apparently in New York in 1995 (ten years before "Under Suspicion in 2005) to get knifed, but in Pensacola in 1991 (sixteen years before "Dangerous Son" in 2007) to father a son. He killed his father in New York (didn't catch how long before the 2005 episode "Nailed" it's mentioned in -- 20 years maybe?)...did he move back and forth between the states a lot? Or is it a continuity error? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.13.222.219 (talk) 07:22, 14 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Horatio Caine & Catholicism

Why does the article not mention his Catholicism? He's frequently seen going into confession or lighting votive candles.70.16.89.105 20:38, 24 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

  • I think "frequent" is a bit of an overstatement. He's only ever seen in confession once, and it's implied that he only went because a priest he knew from New York was there. I've never seen him light a votive candle.

I feel I must something out. Eric Delko is now, and always will be, Horatio's brother-in-law. He would only have become his "ex-brother-in-law" if H had divorced Marisol. But since Horatio was widowed, the connection remains intact. Speaking of that marriage... Why didn't they get married in the Church? They are both Roman Catholic, after all. At least, we know H is, and if Eric Delko is, one assumes Marisol is, as well. DreamroseTavua 22:21, 21 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Call me stupid as I'm British and a bit behind over here, but is his year of birth really meant to be 1950? That would make the guy 57 next week. Certainly doesn't look it, or has he just aged well? Oinster 15:35, 30th March 2007

spoiler

i put a spoiler warning on the article because us Brits are a bit behind on the CSI series! Jackacon 08:54, 26 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Next season relationship?

Who is Mark Francis Noronha? I just came to this page and am somewhat confused by the the "highly controversial dating" line. There's nothing wrong with it, it merely seems out of character for the series, nor have I heard about it. Can anyone explain where this came from?

It looks like it is spam. The user that added it is called Mark Noronha and IMDB have no information on him. Additionally, yhe first hit on google is this page. --81.187.36.50 00:26, 7 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Quotes

This is not a good place for a long list of quotes, especially as there is a link to Wikiquotes in the CSI:Miami navbox. Consequently I will remove the quotes section; revert it if you want to use the quotes. Editus Reloaded 11:51, 18 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Justice Shades

Help me with something? I have noticed that the first thing Horatio does when he is first seen in an episode, is take off his sunglasses, and the last thing he does at the end of the episode is put his sunglasses back on. Does this occur in every episode, or just some? If so, its something to add to the 'Frequent Quircks' section, yes?Benzin 20:56, 3 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Why does this say there are no citations?

There are direct references to specific episodes to support every major statement in the article. 74.241.142.150 (talk) 23:53, 20 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

There are no inline references within the article. eg: {{Cite episode}} should be used and enclosed in <ref></ref> tags. Also see: WP:CITE. Peachey88 (Talk Page | Contribs) 10:59, 14 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Characterisation

It's an important part of Horatio's profile page. I'll add the previous characterisation section as it appeared, but revert if you think it's unnecessary. 86.10.75.40 (talk) 21:10, 19 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Realistic Problems

I added the POV and OR tags to this section, because It's both Original research (the show isn't in real time so not everything is visible) and its seemed to be biased towards him not breaking the rules and not neutral in that respect. Peachey88 (Talk Page | Contribs) 02:04, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

He's 'killed over 200 people in the series'. Crap! Unwisely (talk) 03:42, 30 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Wording in intro

Does anyone find the word "excessive" to be non-neutral, as in "He is known for his excessive use of one-liners."? I think "excessive" should be either removed, or changed to something more neutral. joo-yoon (talk) 03:35, 16 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Homicide/csi

is Horatio a homicide detective and a csi?? He always is the one to question suspects and he always is with Frank or someone that is a homicide detective??? he almost never dose anything in the lab????????????--Forensics0122 (talk) 22:52, 2 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Image

The current image is an image of David Caruso, not Horatio Caine. We need to put an actual screenshot of Horatio from an episode of the show. An image of an actor is not the same as an image of a character they portray. Comp25 (talk) 18:04, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey

I don't have a wikipedia account and I'm sure how to cite sources, but I think the realistic problems section was cool. Can somebody please bring it back, with citations? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.225.202.57 (talk) 18:41, 25 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]
