De La Hunt Broadcasting is a small market radio broadcasting company based in Park Rapids, Minnesota, and is owned by Ed and Carol De La Hunt. The offices and studios are located on the east side of Park Rapids, near Highways 4 & 34. All of the stations get their programming from the Dial Global networks.

De La Hunt Broadcasting operates nine stations in five different markets:

Park Rapids

  • KPRM AM 870 "Classic Country 870"
  • KXKK FM 92.5 "Hot Country 92.5"
  • KDKK FM 97.5 "StarStation 97.5"

Bemidji

  • WBKK AM 820 (under construction)
  • KKWB FM 102.5 "Coyote Country 102.5"

Walker

  • KAKK AM 1570 "Oldies 1570"
  • KQKK FM 101.9 "Q102"

Wadena

  • KSKK FM 94.7 "The Arrow 94.7"

Verndale

  • KVKK AM 1070 "Classic Country 1070"


Future

In late September 2008, KPRM applied to the FCC to increase their transmitter power to 50,000 watts. This would increase their signal across northwest Minnesota and eastern North Dakota.

Honors

In 2006, Ed and Carol De La Hunt were inducted into the Pavek Museum of Broadcasting Hall of Fame, in Golden Valley, Minnesota.[1] This Hall of Fame honors the outstanding talent of Minnesota's broadcast community.
