About me

I am a UK editor, focusing on UK (generally transport) articles. I'd like to make it clear: I am not perfect but I do my best. If I have made an edit which you do not agree with, please just drop a note on my talk page, we are all adults after all!

Thoughts on deletion

Where an article is notable, I will defend that notability down to the ground, where an article is not notable, I will nominate for its deletion. Simple!

General thought

If you believe that change is necessary to bring Wikipedia out of the stone ages, make it happen! That is how Wikipedia evolves. Don't let stubborn editors stuck in the past get in your way. Work for the greater good, not the good of those stuck in their ways. There are ways and means of making change happen, any reasonable change will gather support from those that want it.

What I try to fix

Road Articles: Over-linking in articles, incorrect primary destinations, essay style road entries.

Services Articles: Bring each article up to an acceptable standard

Bus Articles: Bring articles up to the standard of WP:UKBQDRIVE

Todo List

My list of articles to create, expand or tidy up. Feel free to add to this if you think there is something I could work on!

UK Motorway Service Stations
I am currently on a personal drive to bring all of the UK motorway service station articles up to scratch, I have created a "progress" table at User:Jeni/MSA Progress.

UK Bus Routes
I set up the UK Bus Route Quality Drive to clean up notable bus route articles, and to remove the non-notable articles. If you have any interest or knowledge, your input would be welcome over there!

UK Roads
The road articles on my todo list:
A44 road · A443 road · A446 road · A447 road

Est omnino difficile iudicare inclusionis meritum cuiusdam rei in encyclopædia cum ratio sciendi quid populi referat incerta sit, sed nihilominus aliquid encyclopædiam dedecet

It is generally difficult to judge the worthiness of a particular topic for inclusion in an encyclopedia considering that there is no certain way to know what interests people, but some topics nevertheless are not fit for an encyclopedia.

This motto reflects the desire of these Wikipedians to be reluctant, but not entirely unwilling, to remove articles from Wikipedia.
