Re MPs: if you insist on editing the next name in the list ahead of me, you will just get your work over-written. If you want to help with this, start at the other end of the alphabet. And please follow the format I have established. These are not stubs. Adam 11:10, 28 Mar 2004 (UTC)

I didn't intend to pick the next name in the list - I just picked him at random (Apologies for stepping on your toes). I'm still trying to get the hang of these articles, so please bear with me. Dysprosia 11:12, 28 Mar 2004 (UTC)
OK, well go to List of members of the Australian House of Representatives, and you can see I am working my way down the list. If the topic interests you, I suggest you start with Christian Zahra and work your way up. Get one of my articles and use it as a template. The photos are downloadable from here. Happy editing. No problemo, mate. It was an easy one to sort. In any case, I should know better. I confess to an irrational dislike of headings, and I tend to ignore them a lot of the time - which is one of the great things about a community-written project: one can afford these little lazy luxuries, as someone else will always come along and attend to the parts you don't do yourself. Financial Measure

To avoid conflicts I'll let you tidy up if that's ok. My clean-up skills aren't that hot anyway!Rjstott 07:28, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Vabis

I find it interesting that there is a related link to Scania Vabis trucks. Must be some confusion or some copy right infringements are in order Thuyen

Yeah, though as much! ;) Mark Richards 22:59, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Can't stand people who try and advertise here. It's..ugh! Dysprosia 23:01, 29 Mar 2004 (UTC)

Thanks for the Welcome

Dysprosia, I finally looked at my own talk page, and saw your welcome. Thanks for that. I guess you are the nice neighbor that comes around with the basket of fruit.

I have been posting here and there as time allows, but nowhere near the level of devotion I see from you and other prolific editors. I mostly stick to Asian and Japanese issues, as those are my strengths. However, I have set my browser homepage to open a wikipedia random page, and found myself doing minor edits or fixes as they arise.

Numerology

Ahh yes, the numbers. Well, I can't keep track of any of these project pages, so I'm not contributing there, but see what else you want to do with the numbers now. I'm done with my sweeps through the 1-10k range; note that "divisors" is only part of the template for numbers with more than 2 non-trivial divisors (else the factorization says it all). other than that, I think all numbers-page editors are on the same page. Thanks for your welcoming message, which I appreciated, as I have only been in wikipedia for a week and have mostly been proceeding on a trial and error basis - having fallen in love with the Wikipedia structure and process, and trusting in the error correction properties of digital information systems.

This is my first attempt at using the talk function, which feels fairly cumbersome, imho. I did begin a response to you yesterday - but ended up not posting it.

Btw, my preferred modality of communication is IRC - is this available anywhere in Wiki world? If not, you are welcome to visit me at irc://irc.oftc.net/ie, which I will keep open today - and I will keep an eye open for any visitors to the channel.

I have continued to pursue my hunch as to the significance of red links, In the process of revising many such links I had created at collective intelligence agency - to which I have ported the matrix that I had come up with on my first visit to red links - I had come up with an idea for an alternative construction of red links as search links - see red links - having made use of WordPerfect 5.1+ styles and macros to convert what I had listed under Define into an ad hoc demonstration of an alternative construction of red links.

I look forward to finding more about how Wikipedia works, and appreciate the valuable contribution that you make - judging by the messages on your page yesterday.

About the byte pages

I edited all the pages of megabyte, gigabyte, terabyte, petabyte, exabyte, zettabyte, and yottabyte to include the histories of the SI prefixes. Look at those of zettabyte and yottabyte. Do you know exactly why they were chosen?? 66.32.96.177 00:26, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)

What is a transsexual woman??

Let me see if I got this correct: A transsexual woman is a woman who was born as a boy, but who became a woman later in her life?? Does Wikipedia have a page that lists women of this kind?? 66.32.96.177 00:35, 2 Apr 2004 (UTC)

At my user talk page, it says:

Let me see what you mean: A transsexual is a woman who was a born as a boy, but became a woman later in her life. A transgender is someone who this doesn't officially happen to, but who sort of behaves like this. Can you modify the list of transgendered people so that the page can identify which one it is??

Goldberg Variations

You may have mastered the beauty of Bach, but can you do this? :) -- Decumanus | Talk 08:11, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Oh heck, I'm a bit slow, aren't I? -- Decumanus | Talk 08:17, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)
Hm? Sure, I'll give it a go! But I think it comes with chordal accompaniment and I don't have the original sheet music... Dysprosia 08:20, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Thanks

For removing the vandalism from my page. Pfortuny 12:25, 3 Apr 2004 (UTC)

Thanks

Thanks for the compliment. I'm the one who was editing Wendy Carlos and other gender-related stuff.--Sonjaaa 15:46, Apr 3, 2004 (UTC)

CMYK

Thanks for fixing my formulas. I sort of suck at formulas, give me an algorithm anyday.

Now for some strange reason the algorithm at "the site" has RGB with 8 bit integers for each channel, and CMYK uses floating point proportions for each channel. Eh what!? So at some point, someone should either write everything using proportions, or write everything scaled to 8 bit integers.  :-)

But that's neither here nor there, like, thanks again! :-)
