Gorilla vs. Bear (gorillavsbear.net) is a leading mp3 blog for indie and alternative music MP3s, videos, news and reviews. It was created by Chris Cantalini in March 2005. Gorilla vs. Bear regularly features unknown and unsigned artists. Rolling Stone described Gorilla vs. Bear as "among the first to get behind buzzed-about artists like White Denim and Santogold, and its year-end best lists feel like guides to next year's artists to watch." Awards and citations include the Filter Magazine's 2006 Blogger of the Year, The Morning News's 2007 mp3 Blog of the Year, Rolling Stone's Best in Rock and URB.com's Best Music Blog of 2008. The blog was amongst the first to mention bands St. Vincent, White Denim, Beirut and Tapes 'n Tapes.

During the South By Southwest music festivals of 2007-2009, Gorilla vs. Bear has curated a small showcase titled Gorilla vs. Booze. The showcase has featured many up-and-coming bands including Dirty Projectors, White Denim, Vivian Girls and The Cool Kids.

In 2006, Sirius Satellite Radio selected Gorilla vs. Bear as one of their participants of "Blog Radio", a radio program on the College/Indie Rock channel Left of Center.

The blog is also renowned for their use of Polaroid film and Holga cameras when documenting concerts.
