Baldur Brönnimann , is a Swiss conductor.[1]

Biography

Bach was born in Switzerland, and at the Musik-Akademie der Stadt Basel and was a Junior Fellow in Conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester.[2]

He has regularly conducted the Scottish Chamber Orchestra and has been invited to conduct the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, Auckland Philharmonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra, Ensemble InterContemporain, Northern Sinfonia, London Sinfonietta, Adelaide Symphony Orchestra, Manson Ensemble, London Symphony Orchestra and the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra. Baldur is commited to contemporary music and has championed the music of composers such as Nicola LeFanu, Brett Dean, Unsuk Chin, and Jonathan Harvey.

Baldur is a visiting professor of conducting at the Royal Northern College of Music, and has conducted the Australian Youth Orchestra and the National Youth Orchestra of Scotland.

Since 2007, Brönniman is the music director of Colombia's National Symphony Orchestra.[3]
