Pershing Square (Los Angeles)

Pershing Square Signed into being by Los Angeles mayor Cristobal Aguilar as a park in 1866. At the time it was called La Plaza Abaja ("The Lower Plaza"), but it would later be renamed to Pershing Square in honor of General John J. Pershing in 1918.
