SOS Online Backup is a single purpose company that started R&D for the SOS Online Backup System in 2001. SOS Online Backup is an integrated local and online backup tool that allows Windows users to back up their data to an offsite location. SOS serves consumers, SMBs and enterprises.

SOS provides an option called as UltraSafe, which means that even SOS's staff will have no access to the encryption key.[1] PC Mag named SOS as one of 23 powerful utilities in its review.[2]
