Velké Hydčice is a village and municipality (obec) in Klatovy District in the Plzeň Region of the Czech Republic.

The municipality covers an area of 5.12 square kilometres (1.98 sq mi), and has a population of 229 (as at 28 August 2006).

Velké Hydčice lies approximately 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Klatovy, 55 km (34 mi) south-east of Plzeň, and 103 km (64 mi) south-west of Prague.
