"Loungin" is the third and final single from LL Cool J's sixth album, Mr. Smith. It was released on June 25, 1996 for Def Jam Recordings and was produced by Rashad "Ringo" Smith and LL Cool J. A popular remix featuring vocals by Total and production from the Trackmasters was also released. Loungin was a huge success, peaking at #3 on the Billboard Hot 100, #1 on the Hot Rap Singles and #4 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The song sampled Al B. Sure!'s "Nite and Day" and on the B-Side was "Summer Luv".

The remix version of the song samples "Who Do You Love?" by Bernard Wright.

The song also appeared in an episode of LL's sitcom, In The House
