Ballymena & Provincial Football League

The Ballymena and Provincial Intermediate League is a regional intermediate league in Northern Ireland. The league is split into 4 divisions: The Premier Division and three Junior leagues: Junior Division 1, 2 and 3.

Format

Premier Division

In the Premier Division 2 teams get relegated and one team from Junior Division 1 gets promoted. Currently 14 teams play in the Premier Division following the withdraw of Connor due to the IFA's 'one player one club' rule. Dunaghy also withdrew but the league has accepted Brantwood, who failed to qualify for a place in the IFA Championship league, for the 2009/10 season.

Cups that are currently available to the Ballymena & Provincial Intermediate Leagues are:

  • Crawford Cup
  • Mc Reynolds Cup
  • O' Gorman Cup
  • Canada Trophy
  • Linda Welshman Memorial Cup

And the Junior Divisions can play in the Junior Cup.[1]
