Five Go Off In A Caravan is the fifth book in the Famous Five series by the British author, Enid Blyton.

In this part all five (Julian, Dick, George, Anne and Timmy) meet a new friend called Nobby and his chimpanzee "Pongo". There's a secret under the ground where the Five have their caravans and the secret is of Nobby's uncle Tiger Dan and his friend Lou. They have had troubles with Tiger Dan and Lou. The mystery starts in one day when the children and Timmy were commanded to camp somewhere else with their caravans. But sooner or later, the two "evil characters" - Tiger Dan and Lou - show up and try to tell them to move. what is going on??......

                             ------------------------------------------------------

Julian, Dick, George and Anne, and not forgetting Timmy the dog, have decided to go off on a caravan holiday, pulled by two horses and travelling along country roads and stopping at farms. They play and frolic – swimming in streams and joking around. It almost seems as if Anne has got her wish and the Five won’t be having an adventure this holiday! Finally settling halfway up a steep hill they befriend Nobby and his ape Pongo, who are part of a travelling circus. They appear to have the perfect life - travelling and working with animals of all types. The five even get to meet an Elephant!

But a secret lurks behind Nobby’s evil uncle Tiger Dan and his friend Lou, who are sneaking around the five’s caravan and trying to convince them to move. Timmy seems to immediately hate the pair – but why?

Can the Five figure out whats going on and help Nobby and Pongo before it’s too late?
