Scott Lively
Scott Lively is the president of Defend the Family, a conservative Christian organization located in Temecula, California, and a noted anti-gay activist.[1]
Along with Kevin E. Abrams, he co-authored the book The Pink Swastika, a book based on supposed links between homosexuals and the Nazi Party, though professional historians have dismissed the book's claims. (NOTE: Not one professional historian has dismissed the claims of his book]. [2] Lively is the former state director for California's branch of the American Family Association, and went on to form the anti-homosexual group Watchmen on the Walls based in Riga, Latvia.[3][4]
In 1991, Lively forcibly ejected lesbian activist Catherine Stauffer from a private Oregon Citizens Alliance event in a church that she was filming.[NOTE: She was not filming it, and refused to leave when asked at elast 37 times]. [5] Stauffer received a monetary judgement against Lively for battery and the OCA in 1992.[Lively did not "batter" her but took her by the arm and escorted her out. She had no bruising but later claimed back trouble for which she sued the Oregon Citizen's Alliance and lost] [6]
