iPlotz deletion
How can this be added back in - does someone else not connected to the company have to recreate it?.. The information also had published articles, one of which was a major review site, so that handles notability. This page followed exactly the format of other sites, so either they should be deleted or this should be added back. Please advise Markvtc (talk) 23:37, 6 March 2009 (UTC)

Vertica deletion
Hi Lectonar, Can you please consider undeleting the Vertica page, or send me the code for the deleted page and explain what changes you suggest be made to avoid re-deletion? I don't understand why it was flagged as blatant advertising...the page existed for 2 years, had many community edits, many published external articles, and many pages about similar/competitive products still exist:

Concerning Cherokee
Ok. Just wanted to note that I reverted the page back to its original form, asking him several times to take it to the talk page. He is removing content without just cause or discussion on the talk page, So i believe that it needs to be reverted. If you believe that I should just leave his changes, I will be more than happy to. Thanks, Ono (talk) 14:13, 10 March 2009 (UTC)
- Agreed. This isnt the first run in I have had with people removing content from the Cherokee page because they didnt believe it should be there lol. This isn't the first time I have been drawn into an edit war between two other editors, and I always manage to get to involved. Thanks for the advice, Ono (talk) 14:20, 10 March 2009 (UTC)

I saw you blocked the above IP indefinitely and disabled its talk page editing. Are there some special circumstances with this IP? Because per blocking policy dealing with IPs, IP addresses should rarely, if ever, be blocked indefinitely. Thanks! KnightLago (talk) 14:37, 11 March 2009 (UTC)

Certpoint Systems
Notability of CERTPOINT Systems
A tag has been placed on CERTPOINT Systems requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
How can I avoid getting this message? There are other companies like this on Wikipedia. Do I need to provide links?

Unfortunately I do not agree. One example of "notability" is the entry in the LA House Of Representatives journal regarding the use of criminalwatchdog for new state nurses.
This is indeed a notable Corporation and believe it does indeed warrant an entry. Cranedr (talk) 14:06, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
BakerPlatt
Hi Lectonar. I'm struggling to know why you've deleted BakerPlatt. It's my first attempt at creating a page on Wikipedia - and I was disappointed to see that it has been removed, despite being comparable to other offshore law firm stub entries. Can you allow me to access the text again and give me some pointers as to how I can prove that it's a genuinely noteworthy submission?
Thanks,
Jason. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonmackenzie (talk • contribs) 09:14, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi. What is Jersey Business Review? Are you referring to the Jersey Evening Post annual Business Review? I'm feeling under undue scrutiny and persecution! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonmackenzie (talk • contribs) 12:16, 12 March 2009 (UTC)
Hi. I am categorically NOT working for Jersey Business Review. I have historically contributed to that publication. I am interested in publishing noteworthy items on Wikipedia (never having done so in the past) and chose a firm that is presently working on two high profile, landmark cases in the jurisdiction in which I live as my first foray. I feel that you are being unjustifiably censorious. All I wish to do is be guided as to how to publish articles that are notable, impartial and significant. I had no idea it would be so difficult! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jasonmackenzie (talk • contribs) 12:24, 12 March 2009 (UTC)

Semi protection of User talk:Cf38
User talk pages aren't protected upon request unless there is persistent vandalism, since they are a crucial point of contact for various users, including anonymous contributors. The only vandalism I see was from one particular IP, so such a thing certainly doesn't and didn't warrant protection. Would you please elaborate on your rationale for protection? Thanks. — neuro(talk)(review) 18:36, 17 March 2009 (UTC)

Anon (not so now) vandal
Hi there LECTONAR, VASCO from Portugal here,
regarding this report (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia_talk:WikiProject_Football#Anon_vandal), which led to you protect all four articles, i have bad news: The anon has registered, under the account Georgios21 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:Contributions/Georgios21, i am not 100% sure it his him, but 99,99999999%, as this person continues to operate almost solely on AEK Athens FC soccer players).
Bearing in mind the four articles which i presented as evidence, at least in this, Arnaldo Edi Lopes da Silva, he proceeded to enter again, remove true info in infobox, also messing with his height and age, which can be confirmed at ZEROZERO.PT link provided (by me) - see this (http://en.wikipedia.org/enwiki/w/index.php?title=Arnaldo_Edi_Lopes_da_Silva&action=history). Silicon Blue
the article you just deleted, it is about the new company producing FPGA devices, the information defenetly belongs to wikipedia, It is my fault i wasnt able to fill in more information at once, i created the page for later editing and left with my kids to the doctor. Now i wanted to add more content but the pages was deleted.
FPGA's are very special electronic devices and there are only 7 companies world wide producing them, 2 of the 7 are completly missing from wikipedia, one of them is Silicon Blue the other is Acronix
as note I am not involved with Silicon Blue except that i am using their products and have deep technical knowledge about FPGAs in general
sorry again that i did not provide enougth articel content at page creation time —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trioflex (talk • contribs) 09:42, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Dear Lectonar,
if there are 7 companies world wide producing FPGA's does it mean only the first 5 can be included in Wikipedia? This sounds like unfair policy to me, but maybe the community thinks that only 5 are eliglible. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Trioflex (talk • contribs) 11:04, 25 March 2009 (UTC)

Deletion of page: Erin Ketterman
In this recently deleted page, the reason for deletion was because it was an "Article about a real person, which does not indicate the importance or significance of the subject."
What I don't understand is the logic behind this. Is George Bush not a real person? Is Zinedine Zidane not a real person?
The other point of logic I don't understand is the part about indicating "the importance...of the subject." In my article, the importance was very lucidly stated as her being a top contributor to a high school in Phoenix, Arizona.
How, then, are either of these reasons for deletion justified? Thank you.

Re. Kayako article by User:hatter87
I am not sure why my article was deleted (having checked the content guidelines to which you referred me). I created a "Kayako" article (who make help desk software I use, as well as my University) having seen Comparison_of_issue_tracking_systems, and missing links (red nodes) to Kayako on a few other Wikipedia articles. I also note that Kayako has been featured in the popular presses many times (i.e. it is not a fly-by-night company), including for reasons including helping push forward the open source software initiative. I believe that the article I created contained useful content, especially when compared to other similar articles: TechExcel_Software, Zendesk, Eventum, CreationFlow, C.Support, Atadesk - some of these are one-liners at best! I suspect I have been flagged up here because I am a new registration. This is understandable, especially with the suspicions this rouses. However, I believe it is in the interests of the community to pass fair judgement on the content of the article based entirely on its own merits - not on my registration date. Hatter87 (talk) 16:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)
- I have just seen the deletion log - it appears I am not the only one who have tried to create a Kayako article in the past. Hatter87 (talk) 16:07, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

deletion of "Filippo Tron" page
I provided source references for this historical figure, who I noticed on his father's page had no article. The source I used has been dubbed "The Standard Venetian History in English" by The Times. Hereditary lines of doges were a constant source of tension within the republic of Venice, and any proposed continued line - especially if favored by the citizens of Venice - is certainly noteworthy. Furthermore, his unique cause of death definitely deserves mention. Since clearly there are not many Venetian scholars maintaining the finer points of the republic's history on Wikipedia, this may be the only mention of this historical figure for quite some time. As for the relevance of Filippo Tron himself, if we are to include losing US presidential candidates on Wikipedia, why then not include losing candidates for the doseship? Are we so culturally and historically exclusive? I fear a policy such as this will lead to the deletion of John Kerry in 100 years, for example. QUESTION ABOUT A DELETION
Hi, I was following through a link for Ted Allbeury and I was amazed to find that this bio once existed but that it had been deleted. The person in question is notable, he was a well published author and broadcaster in the UK. Since your name came up as the person who had deleted the earlier article (I have no idea what that was), I thought that I would check with you first to see if you have any objection to the creation of a new biographical article. --Fk27jh (talk) 00:32, 10 July 2009 (UTC)

You were vandalised
Your "about me page" got vandalised, I reverted the vandalism and left the bad guy a warning. -- Drappel (talk) 13:22, 24 August 2009 (UTC)

- REDELETED :))
New&Confused
I just got the message that a page I created had got deleted due to : (G12: Unambiguous copyright infringement). The page conserned the Norwegian architects Jarmund / Vigsnæs I wondered if you could explain the reason for deleting this site, as i did not include anything that falls under copyright law; no images, no quotes etc. If I understood the guidelines correctly only the bits of text/bits of the contribution that does fall under somebody elses' copyright is what is in danger of being removed, but in this case the whole article got removed. It would be great if someone out there could explain the reason for the deletion. Thankyou Sknj (talk) 08:05, 27 August 2009 (UTC)
- answered on users talk-page
When is it appropriate....
To refactor another editors talk page? [[1]] I have left a lvl 1 warning on this page for refactoring another users talk page that was clarly not vandalism. I have since been told that because I have a colorful history it is an invalid warning. I would like to have a few admin go and comment one way or another to this as I believe my actions were not only appropriate but very moderated. Thank You.Hell In A Bucket (talk) 09:58, 30 August 2009 (UTC)
- Comment on the situation if you wish, however the prevailing opinion has been if you make 60,000 edits it's ok to discount others polite opinion because "they have bit a newbie (once) and have poor grammer." This wasn't a personal issue but a disturbing attitude trend.Hell In A Bucket (talk) 11:55, 30 August 2009 (UTC)

could you please explain why you deleted onehourflex?
did you bother to at least check the links provided?
considering the speed you deleted the article no you did not
if you had you´d see they were from LEADING media on the biofuels arena
so what else is necessary? to win the nobel prize?
besides it was still under CONSTRUCTION!
Please check http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:DWZ#toc
tell me EXACTLY what did the article needed then! —Preceding unsigned comment added by Galonga (talk • contribs) 13:50, 1 September 2009 (UTC)
iWantGreatCare
Thought that the iwantgreatcare article was balanced, as it included scathing criticism of the service? Let me know how you think the article could be made less advert-y, I took some info from the site and the rest from The Guardian and other third party providers. Thanks 27.oma (talk) 15:07, 3 September 2009 (UTC)

I answered TWICE your email with days of separation and yet you ignored it. Aren´t you supposed to be kind and stuff?
EMAIL I SENT:
This is to let you know that the company you deleted is already in the Top 100 biotech company by Always Going Green (http://alwayson.goingon.com/permalink/post/31757)
It is listed along with companies such as TESLA which I'm sure you know well!
Now, if even that does not count I can only speculate you are really out of your mind!!
either way I agree that you are much more approachable than 99% of the wikiadmins there and I thank the time you took to send me an email
cheers!
