About me

I created this Wikipedia account in April 2009. However I've been an enthusiastic, regular reader of Wikipedia articles for some years before this.

I live in Birkenhead, Merseyside, England which is the largest town on the Wirral Peninsula, across the River Mersey from Liverpool. Apart from Wikipedia editing, I also take photos for upload to Wikimedia Commons, many of which are from nearby places. Although, I also sometimes travel to other regions and takle photos, for example Birmingham and London.

If I find that any photos I've taken are relevant to articles which lack a photo, then I will usually add one to the article. I only check the English Wikipedia for this purpose, not other language Wikis. Although, some UK images do find their way into non-English Wikipedias as they also cover UK-related topics.

I am liable to take breaks of many months away from Wikipedia depending on how busy I am in real life.

Conflicts of interest

I'm known as "Digital Prawn" in the 8-bit retro-computing community (Currently active in the Sinclair "ZX Spectrum" scene) and I hosted the annual comp.sys.sinclair Crap Games Competition back in 2008. I have also submitted games to the competition in 2007 & 2009. However, I ceased to have any involvement with the running of the competition from January 2009 onwards.
