• Dr. Eggman: The main antagonist. Also known as Dr. Robotnik.
• Animal Friends: The tiny animals Eggman traps in his robots.
• Badniks: The original name for Eggman's robots in the series, until Sonic Adventure.
• Miles "Tails" Prower: Sonic's twin-tailed fox friend.
• Silver Sonic: The original Metal Sonic.
• Super Sonic: Sonic's super form when using the power of the Chaos Emeralds.
• Mighty the Armadillo: A strong armadillo and a friend of Sonic and Knuckles. (Scrapped).
