Law & Order: Criminal Intent is a United States police procedural television series. It is a spin-off of Law & Order, and is presented on the NBC and USA networks.

It stars Vincent D'Onofrio, Kathryn Erbe, Jamey Sheridan, and Courtney B. Vance.

Ostensibly about the "Major Case Unit", the story lines differ little from the parent show. One feature is that the show focuses on a single character – Detective Richard Goren (D'Onofrio) – as opposed to the ensemble casts of the other shows in the Law & Order franchise.
