Reserve Team
Celtic Reserves are the reserve team of Celtic.
They have been members of the Scottish Premier Reserve League since its foundation in the 1998/99 season. They play their home games at Excelsior Stadium (the home of Airdrie). The team mainly consists of Under-19 players at the club and fringe first team players. Some of the first team also play when they are recovering from injury.
The reserves' head coach was Willie McStay who is now head coach of Ujpest Dozsa in Hungary. He took over from Kenny McDowall, in January 2007 when McDowall left to join rivals Rangers as First team coach.
The side have won the Reserve League a record eight times in the eleven seasons the league has been running.

Under-19 Team
The Celtic Under-19 Team competes in the Scottish Premier Under 19's League.
The under-19s play their home matches at former Celtic training ground Barrowfield, but games are also occasionally played at Lennoxtown training ground.
The Under-19s head coach is Stephen Frail and his assistant is Miodrag Krivokapić who is also the head coach of the under 17's. The under-19s had been previously coached by Willie McStay.
The side have won the Scottish Premier League Youth 19s League three times, first in 2003/04 and 2005/06. Celtic also won the revived Glasgow Cup in August 2008 beating rivals Rangers 3-1 in the final with goals from James Keatings, Richie Towell and James Forrest which cancelled out the Rangers opener through Kyle Hutton. Recently the majority of the Celtic under 19's side were released with the exception of a few for example Luca Santonocito and Richie Towell who have moved up to the reserve side.
