Dunston, Lincolnshire

Dunston is a small village in North Kesteven in Lincolnshire. The modern village name comes from Dunestune which featured in the Domesday Book; its original meaning is "Dune's farm". Currently it has a population of approximately 700[citation needed]
Dunston is situated close to the B1188 road between Nocton to the north and Metheringham to the south. The Peterborough to Lincoln Line passes through the village, with a station a mile away at Metheringham. The parish church is St Peter. Three miles to the west on the A15 is Dunston Pillar.
The White Horse pub is to the east at Dunston Fen. The Red Lion is on Middle Street.
