Dhital is a Nepalese surname. This name might have come from a combination of the words "Dhee" (excellent) and "Tal" (rhythm), meaning "a person with excellent rhythm". Dhitals are considered to be from Jumla, a Far North Western District of Nepal but they are scattered all over Nepal, including Lamjung, Gorkha, Dang, Kathmandu, Nuwakot, Sindhupalchowk and Rupandehi.
