The Epstein School is an award-winning Jewish Day School located in Sandy Springs, Georgia[1] for children from 18 months through eighth grade. For 36 years, Epstein has been providing an unparalleled integrated bilingual (English-Hebrew) academic learning environment grounded in Jewish values.


Academic excellence

  • 100% of the 8th grade class was accepted to the high school of their choice.[2]
  • In 2008-2009- over 50% of the 7th grade class qualified to test for the Duke University TIP Program and all of them received state recognition; 4 received national recognition.[3]
  • In 2009, greater than 50% of Epstein graduates enrolled in Honors English, Honor Social Studies and advanced math classes as high school freshman.
  • The Epstein School's standardized test scores range between the 95th and the 99th percentiles.
  • The boys basketball team won 1st place in their league and boys soccer placed Second.
  • Epstein’s curriculum includes a 2-year Spanish program beginning at 7th grade.
  • More than 80% of the lead teachers have advanced degrees.

National recognition

In 2005, Epstein was identified as a U.S. Department of Education Innovator[4] and is one of only three Jewish day schools in the nation to be honored as a 2004 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education

Accredidation

With dual accreditation (SAIS-SACS) from the Southern Association of Independent Schools and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools(SACS),The Epstein School is a leader in computer and technology education, and has outstanding math and science programs. In addition, they offer enrichment opportunities in drama, music and studio arts that foster creative expression and cultural appreciation, as well as an excellent sports program. The current headmaster of the Epstein School is Mr. Stan Beiner.[5]
