The Epstein School is an award-winning Jewish Day School located in Sandy Springs, Georgia[1] for children from 18 months through eighth grade. Founded in 1973, Epstein has been providing a bilingual (English-Hebrew) academic learning environment grounded in Jewish values for 36 years. The school offers after school clubs, aftercare, summer camp, a variety of sports and performing arts programs.


Academic excellence

  • 100% of the 8th grade class was accepted to the high school of their choice.[2]
  • In 2008-2009- over 50% of the 7th grade class qualified to test for the Duke University TIP Program and all of them received state recognition; 4 received national recognition.[3]
  • In 2009, greater than 50% of Epstein graduates enrolled in Honors English, Honor Social Studies and advanced math classes as high school freshman.
  • The Epstein School's standardized test scores range between the 95th and the 99th percentiles.
  • The boys basketball team won 1st place in their league and boys soccer placed Second.
  • Epstein’s curriculum includes a 2-year Spanish program beginning at 7th grade.
  • More than 80% of the lead teachers have advanced degrees.

National recognition

In 2005, Epstein was identified as a U.S. Department of Education Innovator[4] and is one of only three Jewish day schools in the nation to be honored as a 2004 Blue Ribbon School by the U.S. Department of Education.

Accredidation

The Epstein School has dual accreditation from Southern_Association_of_Independent_Schools and Southern Association of Independent Schools and Southern Association of Colleges and Schools(SACS). The current Head of School for the Epstein School is Mr. Stan Beiner.[5]
