Arthur Parham

Template:Anglican PortalArthur Grom Parham[1] (born 25 June 1883[2];died 10 January 1961 [3]) was the Anglican Bishop of Reading [4] from 1942 until 1954. He was educated at Magdalen College School, Oxford then Exeter College in the same city and ordained in 1910. Beginning his ministry with a curacy at Bromley he was then appointed Chaplain of Magdalen College, Oxford[5]. When peace returned he became Rector of Easthampstead , then Rural Dean of Reading[6] and finally (before before his elevation to the Episcopate) Archdeacon of Berkshire[7]. In retirement he continued to serve the Church as an Assistant Bishop within the Diocese of Oxford.
