Glessert is a small village located just outside Hamilton in South Lanarkshire, Scotland. It has a population of roughly 500-600 people. It has many tourist attractions such as the old church, the Avon river for a unique fishing experience, long walks and The Glassford Inn and Steyban Resteraunt. The town of Strathaven is a five-minute drive away. The local bus service 13 comes through the village twice every hour and goes from east kilbride to hamilton, and is driven by a verry friendly bunch of polish bus drivers such as Pedro the loveable giant. whilst in the glessert you may come across some local celebrites like Stuart Mckluskey the cyclist, jack fleming a promising footballer, sean kilby an englishman and the loudon brothers alan and scott.
