Vijay Hazare Trophy was started in 2002-03 as a limited-over domestic competition involving state teams from the Ranji Trophy plates. It is named after the famous Indian cricket Vijay Hazare. Since its conception, Tamil Nadu has won the trophy for three times and Mumbai has won it two times. This is a limited-over version of Ranji Trophy.
