Plot outline
Frasier hears an office rumor that Bulldog is going to be fired; while he is repeating it to someone, Bulldog overhears, flies off the handle and quits his job, insulting the station manager. When it turns out the rumor was false, Frasier must plead with the manager on Bulldog's behalf.
Cultural & Historical References
- At the start of the episode Niles mentions that Maris is a member of the Association of Junior Leagues International and that her local group will be performing the musical Cats. Frasier then says "Remember the last show they did, The Sound Of Music? My God, half the Von Trapp children were having hot flashes. Later in the episode Niles says that Maris was kicked out of Cats for not remembering the lines to "Memory", which means that she was cast as Grizabella.
