Koutetsu

Hello Msr iaidoka! I am very interested by any information you may have on the Cuban purchase and the Danish proceedings around the Kotetsu. Could you put the information in the article, with references if possible (we cannot just put up the flags with no information in the article itself). Looking forward to the information. Best regards PHG 10:39, 15 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

PGH, I am working on that now. The Cuban information should be up now. I should have the Danish information posted by tomorrow. msr_iaidoka 0651, 15 April 2007 (EDT) UPDATE: Just checked my sources. Despite having flown Danish colors it appears that the vessel was never officially added to the lists. So the vessel was de facto a Danish vessel through its flying of Danish colors and christening with a Danish name, though not de jure. Would you say this warrants a Danish flag on the profile? msr_iaidoka 0702, 15 April 2007 (EDT)

Did You Know problem

Hi. I've reviewed your DYK submission for the article Navy Midshipmen football results, and made a comment on it at the submissions page. Please feel free to reply or comment there. Cheers, Art LaPella (talk) 00:06, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

You are amazing!

It is unbelievable that you have so much time on your hands as to pay attention and correct the slightest errors on the Navy Midshipmen football results page. I created the result charts from 2006-present and whenever I go to see if it's been edited, you have already done it. You are on the ball! Thanks Msr iaidoka and Go Navy! --96.244.127.187 (talk) 04:18, 6 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I do what I can. Navy is my team above all others. Beat Army! Beat Everyone! Msr iaidoka (talk) 01:20, 8 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Helmet images

As it said in the templated note which you deleted, you tagged the images with a license that permits their use for Wikipedia only. Such licensing is incompatible with our GFDL license, and such images are automatically tagged for speedy deletion. (ESkog)(Talk) 18:05, 30 September 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Based on WP:F7, which states Non-free images or media with a clearly invalid fair-use tag (such as a {{Non-free logo}} tag on a photograph of a mascot) may be deleted immediately., I am going through a few more of the helmet images, and deleting the ones that are tagged as being non-free logos (as they are in fact, not non-free logos, but helmet illustrations that happen to partially contain non-free logos). If you have questions about this, feel free to contact me personally, or keep posting at WP:MCQ. Thanks. -Andrew c [talk] 15:10, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Please note that the helmets I didn't delete appear to be text-only logos and may be OK, once the OTRS permission is verified. However, most are still tagged as "non-free" which is incorrect. I'd like to encourage you to go through those helmets, and change the page to reflect the licensing of the permission, so they are no longer listed as non-free. Thanks!-Andrew c [talk] 15:19, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The following files all lack license information. To be fixed, they just need to have the corresponding licensing tag (WP:TAG) added to them, based on how the copyright owner released the permission.

Thanks!-Andrew c [talk] 15:35, 1 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thank you for being patient with me. Msr iaidoka (talk) 21:35, 5 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Helmet image quality issues

These helmets that you've uploaded appear to be quite jagged. Don't suppose you could fix that, can you? It seems like a downgrade fromt the previous helmets. The size of them is also pretty large for the infoboxes. It stretches them out quite wide. Brian Reading (talk) 20:33, 10 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I would if I could, but they are not mine to alter. They were created by the guy who runs www.mghelmets.com and he granted permission for them to be used on Wikipedia. Msr iaidoka (talk) 16:24, 11 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If he simply granted permission for them to be on Wikipedia, and are not able to be modified or used for commercial purposes, they are not appropriate for use here. You may want to give this a read. Thanks anyway though. Brian Reading (talk) 05:00, 12 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
