Re: New Articles

Hi! Yes, it feels very nice and satisfying to start some new articles. I had not been able to do so in the recent past. Indeed, it felt great today :)

No, I have not been to Kullu Manali. I was trying to develop the article Himachal Pradesh. And found the scope to create several new articles from there. How are you? --Dwaipayan (talk) 15:57, 6 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please help with your sources to develop Haraprasad Shastri.--Dwaipayan (talk) 06:01, 7 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the continuing help. Yes basing the article on one single major source (in this case, Banglapedia) is not adequate. That's particularly why I asked for your guidance, aided by your repertoir of sources.--Dwaipayan (talk) 05:09, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Oh! What happened? Hope nothing serious. Please take care. And thanks a lot for bringing the article to a respectable look.--Dwaipayan (talk) 09:13, 9 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Brahmo Samaj

Hi, I am back on Wikipedia, and also back to work after my course. I find that there has been some changes here. Many of the old regulars are missing. My attention was drawn to the number of Brahmo Samaj pages that have cropped up. I also find that you have retreated after some edit conflicts. What's the matter? And what about your health? Anything wrong? With best wishes. - Seejee (talk) 12:36, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Updated DYK query On 13 April, 2008, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Birhor people, which you created or substantially expanded. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page.

With regard to this sentence:

The Shastri title was conferred on those who secured a first class and he was the only student in his batch to do so.

I don't think I understand fully what this means, especially "secured a first class" and "only student in his batch to do so". Is "first class" some type of grade, and should batch be class?

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Coal mining in India, and it appears to be very similar to another wikipedia page: Category:Coal mining in India. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot (talk) 02:59, 4 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Request Suggestions

I looked you up from Wikiproject India, in which I have enlisted myself. I have been spending some time bringing this article up to par and I have done a lot of work today. Would you take a look into the article and suggest the ways in which it can be expanded (I have a list of mathematical, medical, and engineering related innovations but am really lacking in the machines, astronomy, physics etc. fields) and made better? I want to bring it up to the level of this article and then work on the Science and technology in ancient India (rename it 'History of science and technology in India') article and then perhaps add a section like this one in the India article.

Thanks in advance,South Block (talk) 09:09, 23 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I saw your note asking for clarification about the controversial nature of this book. There is a section quite near the end of the article ("literary significance") that might answer your question. Joyous! | Talk 04:49, 27 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Reigen

Thanks for your additions to La Ronde (play). Two comments:

1) Although I support all your editing, why was this marked "m"?

2) Over a year ago (on the discussion page) I suggested dealing with the strange name of this article (it should surely be changed to "Reigen"). Apart from your comment/edit there has been zero response, so what do you suggest? Testbed (talk) 16:14, 10 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jessica Lal and Ajit Jogi ;former CM of Chattisgarh and close confidante of Late Shri Rajiv Gandhiji

Sir, I do not know who you are ,but please note that I have given a reference of all the Wikipedia pages as well as my blog on "organized crime and terrorism in India" ,whereby I have also posted documents and pictures ,authenticating all that I have written on Wikipedia, having first hand experience in person of the said events. Let me also apprise you of the fact that I have given an intervention in the Supreme Court of India, for the release of Mr.Manu Sharma who has been falsely implicated in the Jessica Lal murder. The presence of Mr.Manu Sharma on wikipedia is itself due to the Jessica Lal murder case. According to Indian Law a person is presumed to be innocent till his appeal rests with the Judiciary of India ,no matter at what level or hierarchy .It may be the junior courts or the apex court but the presumption rests with the judiciary that "let not an innocent be punished ;no matter you might release 8 wrong doers. So please let the public know the real facts. Not a single word I have written is without documentary evidence. The case pertains to the strategic interests and internal/external security of the country.Neither am I promoting a leader by the said changes nor should you unnecessarily use Wikipedia to besmirch and willify someone. I have just finished rewriting Ayurveda using only the most reliable scholarship. Kindly take a look and let me know if you approve. Proposed deletion of Nibaran Chandra Mukherjee

A proposed deletion template has been added to the article Nibaran Chandra Mukherjee, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process because of the following concern:

No assertion of notability.

All contributions are appreciated, but this article may not satisfy Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and the deletion notice should explain why (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why you disagree with the proposed deletion in your edit summary or on its talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised because, even though removing the deletion notice will prevent deletion through the proposed deletion process, the article may still be deleted if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria or it can be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached.
