SHAFT is an acronym that stands for "Secular, Humanists, Atheists, and Free Thinkers". There are at least three campus-based organizations in the U.S. that go by this acronym located in:

City University of New York, since renamed to Free Thought Society^[1]
Utah State University^[2]
Wofford College calling itself WoCoSHAFT

A variation is SHIFT, where the I stands for Inquiry.

These organizations are similar in purpose to the Brights movement.
