Eric Foster is a Canadian politician, who was elected as a BC Liberal Member of the Legislative Assembly of British Columbia in the 2009 provincial election, representing the riding of Vernon-Monashee.

Eric Foster was elected on May 12, 2009 as MLA for Vernon-Monashee in the general provincial election.

Eric is currently a member of the Select Standing Committees on Legislative Initiatives and on Parlimentary Reform, Ethical Conduct, Standing Orders, and Private Bills.

Serving as the Mayor of the Village of [Lumby, British Columbia|Lumby]] for four years prior to his election as MLA, Eric also served as councillor for the Village of Lumby for 12 years and as a director of the North Okanagan Regional District.

He is a registered forest technician and a member of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police Auxiliary, as well as a director of the North Okanagan Community Futures Development Corporation.

Eric and his wife Janice have been volunteering, working and living in the North Okanagan for more than 20 years.

Eric is a great supporter of sports, the outdoors, his community, arts and culture.[1]
