Our new friend dotI asked our new friend ∙ (talk · contribs)politely to change his username. Could you (if you do agree; I did have to go and find the special dot character; this of course is the inherent problem). Tell him to change his username (possibly with template:usernameblock. I don't want to give the impression I'm bullying him and taking unilateral action or for that matter respond to his reply which was a bit trollish. I'm just a lowly admin. Tell him it's nothing personal. — Dunc|☺ 21:28, 8 December 2005 (UTC) The three articles that are nominees for translation of the week have already been translated, seem to be machine translated or very poorly translated. Should we re-translate the articles or try to clean up the grammar? — J3ff 22:44, 8 December 2005 (UTC) Hello, lad. I noticed you talking about this somewhere, so I'm assuming that you understand how it works. Would you be so kind as to enlighten me? It looks like it's a way to keep track of the edits of newcomers, but I can't tell who gets on the list and who doesn't, when you get off it, whether or not IPs are on it, along with some other things—and there doesn't seem to be a help page on it (maybe I'll create one?). *sigh* Anyway, any info would be appreciated. Thanks, and take it easy, Blackcap (talk) 01:23, 9 December 2005 (UTC)
Thanks for the helpThanks for the speedy delete with the Charles Hoskinson article, especially during your break. Even though it failed with a with the final tally of 55/22/6, I want to thank you anyways. I don't want to be one a admin anymore until I reach 10,000 edits now that it's over with. User SubpagesHey Tito, I was wondering if you could tell me how to create a user sub page? I'd like to use it to practice certain tasks before forging straight into them. Thanks. KnowledgeOfSelf | talk 04:49, 9 December 2005 (UTC)

A thank you from AnnHi, Titoxd. I just want to thank you for voting to support me in my RfA. I know I'm very late thanking you, but I've been a bit caught up with college work. I hope I'll live up to the expectations of those who voted for me. Please let me know if you ever have a problem with any admin action that I carry out. Thanks again. Cheers. AnnH (talk) 20:41, 9 December 2005 (UTC) A small requestSir, I see you have reverted my edit of the Brian Larsen article. Please reconsider. I realize the revised version may not have been very neutral, but the subject matter really doesn't merit an article of such length. Mr. Larsen has often used false identities on the Internet to agree with himself and to brag about his "accomplishments", true or not. At the very least, the supposed connections between him and Fleetwood Mac should be looked into, to prevent Fleetwood Mac fans from wondering. Please? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.246.82.175 (talk • contribs) 02:48, 10 December 2005 (UTC)

I would like to leave this note as an explanation. mom2jandk is a new user and a clearly enthusiastic member of WikiProject:Numismatics. However, he/she has made several changes (specifically to the categorization scheme) that I reverted for various reasons. Among them, he/she:
After reading this fairly lengthy message, you might get the impression that I am attacking either mom2jandk or his/her edits; this is not the case. I have a great deal of admiration for him/her as a new user who is not afraid to jump in and try to improve Wikipedia and the Numismatics project. I hope he/she continues to contribute, and I believe he/she has a great deal to offer. This message is quite long because I wanted to explain the specifics of the categories (many of which, incidentally, were created by me.) Note that I placed merge tags on most of mom2jandk's categories. It goes without saying that, if there are any categories that should be altered and/or deleted, by all means make such changes, regardless of whether I or anyone else created them; neither I nor my edits are perfect. Apologies for using he/she; I assume mom2jandk's user name reflects her role as a mother but I wasn't completely certain. Thank you all and I look forward to continued work with you in the future. How cool is this? Good work! That reminds me: that image that you have gracing our main page — if you were to add and to the shaded area, we could put those limits on the definite integrals instead and generalise it a little. :) -Splashtalk 21:14, 14 December 2005 (UTC)

Vandals who create user namesHey Tito, if an anon 70.81.202.97 like this gets to a test 4 and then makes a user name to avoid that test 4 should he be blocked anyway? Pyrics is making the same vandalism edits as the anon IP. If you could take a look to confirm if it is the same type of vandalism, and let me know what the verdict is I'd appreciate it. Shhh. How in the world did you notice activity on that most-out-of-the way corner of the world? I use a somewhat clumsy translude/copy-paste/delete in order to get AfD results for analysis. If you'll look at the history, you'll see that this spot is just a holding space. I'm trying to be low-key, but not going totally cold turkey. Thanks for being alert, though. 144.53.251.2 04:52, 16 December 2005 (UTC) Mcfly85HI there Tito, it's SWD. I was wondering, is it against Wikipedia policy to have what I have written on my user page about Mcfly85. If it is, I'll remove it. Mcfly85 says it is but I would rather hear it from someone like you. Is it? Also, Mcfly85 wont leave me alone. I kindly asked him to just leave me alone and he keep on leaving messages on my talk page. Thanks! SWD316 16:51, 16 December 2005 (UTC) News from EsperanzaHello, fellow Esperanzians! This is just a friendly reminder that elections for Administrator General and two advisory council positions have just begun. Voting will last until Friday, December 30, so make sure you exercise your right to vote! Also, I'm pleased to announce the creation of the Esperanza mailing list. I urge all members to join; see Wikipedia:Esperanza/Contact for more information. All you need to do is email me and I will activate your account. This will be a great way to relax, stay in touch, and hear important announcements. Thanks! Flcelloguy (A note?) This message was delivered to all Esperanza members by our acting messenger, Redvers. If you do not wish to receive further messages, please list yourself at WP:ESP/S. Thanks. Numismatics Project archive talk pageI was wondering if you'd archive the Numismatics talk page when you get a chance. You mentioned before that it's easy, and I think the length is way out of hand (I know I have trouble finding stuff). I'll be happy to help figure out which sections are currently active and create new topics or however that should be handled. If this is something I could do as a non-admin, please tell me how. Thanks Ingrid 20:01, 16 December 2005 (UTC)

re: BugzillaAs far as making it so it doesn't show your every email..I don't know. Mcfly85 (again)I have a couple of questions on what happens now.
1) Should the IP addresses used by Mcfly85 that vandalized be counted as sockpuppets and be blocked?
2) Can I place vandal tags on the Mcfly85 sockpuppets user pages like the Willy on Wheels sockpuppets? SigYou think maybe it's time to change our sigs? Or do we still want to create awareness? Re: Edit CounterAh, and here I was about to reply to your last version. :-) Good work! Here's my thoughts on 3.10 (I'll try 3.20 in a minute...): The GUI is pretty nice, and it's great that you can read and merge from more than one htm file. However, the GUI needs some work - for instance, no "exit" button (only the X and cancel), and an output besides System.out would be nice. If you haven't changed some of those things in 3.20, I'll see what I can do. Let me get back to you after I try out 3.2. Thanks a lot! Flcelloguy (A note?) 16:13, 19 December 2005 (UTC)
IRCHello there, hope you are well. Today I was able to register my nickname, FireFox, on IRC which I haven't been able to do in the past.
