Articles for creation (AfC) is where Wikipedians collaborate whether or not a potential article should be created. Potential articles requested are reviewed for as long as it takes, after which the creation process proceeds based on reviewer's consensus. Then the potential article may be declined or accepted per the Wikipedia policy or guidelines. Potential, accepted, and declined articles are kept here. Declined articles have the opportunity to be improved and to be resubmitted later. Editors who have ideas and sources for potential articles can submit them here. Editors who have ideas for the title articles but no content for the article itself should see Requested articles. Editors with Wikipedia user accounts can use the Registered Users Article Wizard if they want help creating articles but without the actual reviewers of AfC for assistance.

Please follow these directions to submit an article for creation.

  1. First - read this page: Wikipedia:Starting an article
  2. Second - try checking whether the article already exists by searching for it.
  3. Third - ensure that your topic meets Wikipedia's notability guidelines, including ones for:
  4. Fourth - make sure that your article is verifiable and contains published sources. Without independent sources your article will be declined.
  5. Finally - click the "Continue" link below.
    • Please keep in mind that there are a lot of article submissions, and established users may not have time to immediately review your article. Sometimes, due to a large backlog, a submission may not be declined or accepted for some time. Thank you for contributing to Wikipedia!
